The Blue Monkey is the seal of play. Its action is to play, its essence is illusion, its power is magic. In play, we take forms seriously and at the same time keep them light. Magic here means the wonder when something falls into place in a surprising way. Blue is the color of transformation, and humor is one of its lightest forms. The Spectral tone opens what has become too rigid. Its action is to dissolve, its power is liberation, its essence is releasing. Just as white light breaks down in a prism into all the colors of the spectrum, it dissolves structures so that their parts become visible again. After the manifestation of the tenth tone, it is time to let go of what is left over. Its question is: How do I release and let go? Liberation here means recovering the energy bound up in old attachments, so that it becomes available for the new. In Maya numerals it appears as two bars and a dot. Dissolving is not destroying, but lightening and making room. The Spectral tone belongs to the third quarter of the wavespell and prepares its conclusion. It invites you to hand over what no longer serves you and to perceive the strength that is released.
