Today’s Kin
The Kin of the day on Brasília time, calculated by the same rule as the Calculation Board, with a link to the page of that Kin: its seal, its tone, its wavespell and the posts from all cycles.
The 260 Kin in the Blog – choose the Kin of the day in the Tzolkin.
What the Kin of the Day Is
The Kin of the day is the Kin that the Tzolkin gives to today’s date. Thirteen tones and twenty seals combine into 260 Kin; each day the count moves on one Kin, and after Kin 260 it starts again at Kin 1. That is why the same Kin returns every 260 days.
This page uses the calendar date on Brasília time: the Kin changes at midnight in Brasília. On the Calculation Board you can see the Kin of any date.
The rule is the same as on the Calculation Board: the 13 Moon year begins on July 26, the Kin of that day advances 105 Kin each year, and February 29 (0.0 Hunab Ku) does not advance the count. On July 25, the Day Out of Time, the count simply continues.
