The Blue Monkey is the seal of play. Its action is to play, its essence is illusion, its power is magic. In play, we take forms seriously and at the same time keep them light. Magic here means the wonder when something falls into place in a surprising way. Blue is the color of transformation, and humor is one of its lightest forms. The Monkey belongs to the process time cell, the Cardinal Earth family, and the Truth Clan. In the planet holon it corresponds to Venus, in the solar-prophetic flow. The Magnetic tone is the first of the thirteen tones and the entry gate of every wavespell. Its action is to unify, its power is purpose, its essence is attracting. Like a magnet, it gathers what belongs together and orients it toward a common point. Its question is: What is my purpose? With it every thirteen-day wavespell begins; the seal of the first day gives the wavespell its name and its theme. In Maya numerals it appears as a single dot, the starting point of everything that follows. It is one of the four tones 1, 5, 9, and 13, in which the color of the wavespell’s seal recurs. In it the beginning is still whole: intention and force are one and the same. The Magnetic tone invites you to clarify your orientation before you act, so that what you need can gather around this center.
