The Yellow Warrior is the seal of the courageous question. Its action is to question, its essence is fearlessness, its power is intelligence. Its fight is not against others, but against habits of thought that are no longer examined. Whoever asks opens a path, and whoever asks without fear also walks it. Intelligence appears here as clarity about what is essential. Yellow is the color of ripening: in the Warrior, experience ripens into independent judgment. It closes the output time cell, in which what has been understood goes out into the world. It belongs to the Cardinal Earth family and the Sky Clan. The Rhythmic tone brings balance to the wavespell. Its action is to organize, its power is equality, its essence is balancing. After the radiant force of the fifth tone, the task now is to order the forces and distribute them fairly. Its question is: How can I extend my equality to others? Equality here means giving each part the place that is right for it, so that the whole keeps the beat. Rhythm arises when tension and relaxation, action and rest alternate. In Maya numerals it appears as a bar and a dot; six is the number that divides into two equal trinities and so forms symmetry. The Rhythmic tone stands just before the center of the wavespell and prepares it. It invites you to organize your day and your relationships so that giving and receiving stay in balance.
