The Yellow Warrior is the seal of the courageous question. Its action is to question, its essence is fearlessness, its power is intelligence. Its fight is not against others, but against habits of thought that are no longer examined. Whoever asks opens a path, and whoever asks without fear also walks it. Intelligence appears here as clarity about what is essential. Yellow is the color of ripening: in the Warrior, experience ripens into independent judgment. It closes the output time cell, in which what has been understood goes out into the world. It belongs to the Cardinal Earth family and the Sky Clan. The Self-Existing tone gives the project a shape. Its action is to define, its power is form, its essence is measuring. What until now was impulse gains contours, measures, and limits. Its question is: What is the form my service will take? In Maya numerals four dots show it, and four is the number of the directions, of the seasons, and of the square: the number of stable form. The name says that a form, once well delineated, can exist by itself. Measuring here means finding the right measure, neither too much nor too little. With this tone the first quarter of the wavespell closes: purpose, challenge, service, and form are defined.
