Seal 1
Dragon · Imix
Nurturing what wants to be born
Action nurturePower birthEssence being
The Red Dragon is the first of the twenty seals and opens every count of the Tzolkin. It represents what exists before any action: being. Its action is to nurture, its power is birth. Like a source that asks for nothing and nourishes everything, it is a reminder that every beginning must first be received. In the Dreamspell, red is the color that initiates. As a seal of the input time cell, the Dragon receives the new and gives it a first place. It belongs to the Cardinal Earth family and the Fire Clan; in the planet holon it corresponds to Neptune and to the galactic-karmic flow, which runs from the outside in. In Hunab Ku 21, it embodies the Primal Force, the original creative energy from which everything else is born. The Dragon invites you to trust the origin and to give room to a beginning even before it has taken form.

With a steady pulse toward the purpose
Action pulsePower intentionEssence realizing
Question How do I attain my purpose?
The Solar tone gives the project momentum. Its action is to pulse, its power is intention, its essence is realizing. Just as the Sun emits light in a steady pulse, intention works here like a continuous engine that carries the project forward day after day. Its question is: How do I attain my purpose? It takes up the question of the first tone and carries it into practice. The Solar tone belongs to tones 1, 5, 9, and 13, in which the color of the wavespell’s seal recurs; with it begins the third quarter of the wavespell, in which the project is realized. In Maya numerals it appears as a bar and four dots. Nine is the largest single-digit number, a sign of a ripening that comes close to completion. The Solar tone invites you to keep your intention alive and to give it form through regular action.
