The Red Serpent is the seal of the body and its readiness. Its action is to survive, its essence is instinct, its power is life force. It feels the warmth of the ground before it moves and responds directly to what is. In this way it is a reminder that the body has a knowing of its own, faster than any thought. Instinct here is not the opposite of consciousness, but its foundation. Red initiates: with the Serpent begins the store time cell, where experience is kept. It belongs to the Polar Earth family and opens the Blood Clan. In the planet holon it corresponds to Maldek, the planet of the asteroid belt, in the galactic-karmic flow. In Hunab Ku 21, it embodies the Serpent Initiate, who consciously lets the force of life pass through. The Serpent invites you to listen to your body and to respond with vitality.

The Cosmic tone is the thirteenth and last tone of the wavespell. Its action is to endure, its power is presence, its essence is transcending. To endure here means persistence: remaining until the path has been walked to the end. Then the whole is transcended, and the experience of the wavespell condenses into pure presence. Its question is: How can I expand my joy and love? In Maya numerals it appears as two bars and three dots. Thirteen is the number of the movement that keeps the circle of the twenty seals turning without end: after the thirteenth day a new wavespell begins, with a new Magnetic tone. As the last of tones 1, 5, 9, and 13, it brings back the color of the wavespell’s seal once more. The Cosmic tone invites you to look back, recognize what has been achieved, and move on with an open heart to the next stage.
